Application for Secondary 1 Admission

Information on Application

1. Applicants must complete the online application form, which can be accessed by entering the link / scanning the QR code located in the left-hand corner of this form. Parents / guardians are required to print out a hard copy of the completed form, sign it, and submit it along with the following documents to the Chinese Y.M.C.A. Secondary School, Tin Fu Court, Tin Shui Wai, New Territories.

(1) Photocopies of supporting documents:

a. Student’s H.K. ID Card /Passport

b. Secondary School Places Allocation Form (SSPA) or Student’s Primary Six Identification Card

c. School reports of the last two years

d. Other relevant documents (certificates and awards not bigger than A4 size)

(2) Student’s recent photo

2. A non-refundable application fee of HK$75 is payable upon submission of the application form (please choose one of the following payment methods).

a. Cash

b. Crossed cheque (made payable to "Chinese Y.M.C.A. Secondary School") with the student applicant’s name and contact number at the back of the cheque

c. Direct transfer to the school's account and a copy of the bank-in slip should be submitted to the school for record

3. Only short-listed applicants will be invited for an interview. The exact time and venue will be announced later.

4. If the applicant has expertise in the field of Sports and/or Arts, please fill in item VIII and/or IX in the application form so that we can give more consideration in the admission selection process.

5. If the applicant only submits the application form online without sending the printed copy of the form, relevant documents and application fee to the school, the application process has not been completed. Then this application will not be processed by the school.

6. Please ensure all the information is completed before submitting the application form. Your application may not be processed if any information or supporting document is found missing or incorrect.

7. The school will notify successful applicants in writing.

8. 2025-2026 annual school fee is HK$17,550 (Subject to approval).

9. The school has put into place a “Fee Subsidy Scheme” for students in need, including those receiving subsidies under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) from the Social Welfare Department or those receiving grant of the School Textbook Assistance Scheme (STAS) from the Student Finance Office). This measure ensures that students will not be excluded from the school due to their financial situation. Upon admittance, these students may apply for fee subsidy. 10. The school offers scholarships to students who have demonstrated excellent academic performances, outstanding achievements in art /music /sport as well as in personal and social performances. Please visit the school website for details.

Application Procedure

Step (1) : Create an account (login to our school website, please click “S1 Application Form” to register as a new user.

Step (2): Click “Submit” after completing the user information, you will receive a confirmation email. Please click the hyperlink provided in the email to activate your account.

Step (3) : Before completing the online application form, applicant is required to prepare the following documents (in jpg / pdf format) for uploading (maximum 300KB for each file) :

Student’s recent photo
Student’s Hong Kong Identity Card / Passport
Student’s Primary 4, Primary 5 and Primary 6 (if any) report cards
Awards or documentary proof of the student’s achievements in Sports and /or Arts (if applicable)

Step (4) : Applicant may start to fill in the online application form.

a. Personal particulars of the applicant

b. Name of school(s) attended / attending

c. Talents and interests (including sports, community services, art, etc.)

d. Reasons for choosing our school

e. Family information

f. Information on siblings who are studying / have studied in Chinese Y.M.C.A. Primary/Secondary Schools

g.Student’s achievements in Sports and /or Arts (if applicable)

Remarks: As there is a time limit of 30 minutes for completing the form, please click the “Save Draft” button regularly to ensure that the information is retained before submission.

Step (5) : After completing the online application form, applicant can submit the form (click "Submit") and an "Application Number" will be provided automatically for future communication.

Remarks: Please ensure all information is completed before submitting the application form. Once the applicant has confirmed the information (click "Submit"), it cannot be changed. If any information is found to be incorrect or missing, the application will not be processed.

Step (6) : Please print out the completed online application form (with indicating the application number), sign it with the applicant’s parent / guardian's signature, and submit it together with photocopies of the required supporting documents to the Chinese Y.M.C.A. Secondary School, Tin Fu Court, Tin Shui Wai, N.T..

Step (7) : A non-refundable application fee of HK$75 when submitting the application form (you may choose one of the following payment methods).

a. Cash

c. Direct transfer to our school account and submit a copy of the bank-in slip to our school for record

Step (8) : Upon completion of the application process, applicant will be given a receipt of the application fee for record purpose.
